LRPN offers free osteoporosis screening at Johnson Road Internal Medicine

La Porte Regional Physician Network (LRPN) will offer a free osteoporosis screening to community members.

The screening will be on Saturday, May 15, from 8 a.m. to noon at Johnson Road Internal Medicine, 7002 W. Johnson Rd. in La Porte. Pre-registration is not required. Light refreshments will be available.

This painless heel scan screens bone density and is not intended to be diagnostic in nature. Osteoporosis screenings are recommended only once per year and not for those already diagnosed with osteoporosis.
