General surgeon joins LRPN, sees patients at La Porte office

David Mendelowitz, MD, FACS, recently joined La Porte Regional Physician Network (LRPN), providing general surgical services at his La Porte office.

Mendelowitz is Board Certified in surgery by the American Board of Surgery. He received his medical degree from Northwestern University School of Medicine, Illinois. He completed his fellowship in peripheral vascular surgery at Ohio State University Medical Center and surgical residency at Northwestern University School of Medicine.

He specializes in the following:
     • Breast cancer treatment
     • Gastrointestinal malignancies
     • Hemorrhoid disease
     • Hernia repairs
     • Laparoscopic gallbladder
     • Malignant melanomas
     • Thyroid and parathyroid abnormalities
     • Vasectomies
