Family physician, La Porte Regional Physician Network member to open Westville practice

Diane Hunt, MD, a member of La Porte Regional Physician Network, will open her Westville practice this summer.

Hunt, who is Board Certified in family practice, will began seeing patients in June at Westville Family Care, 156 S. Flynn Rd. Same day appointments will be available.

Services include:
· Traditional family medicine from newborns to geriatrics
· Women’s health services including annual exams, menopausal therapies and family planning
· Preventative medicine and vaccinations
· Sports and school physicals
· Minor office procedures and injury care
· Lab draws

Hunt received her medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine, and served as Chief Resident in Family Medicine at St. Francis Hospital of Beech Grove, Ind. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Indiana Academy of Family Physicians and American Medical Association. She has practiced at Family Health Specialists in North Judson since August 2007.

A Kouts native, Hunt participates in the local basketball team there. “I am delighted to return to Northwest Indiana to provide quality, family-centered care,” she said.

La Porte Regional Physician Network (LRPN) is a network of physicians providing services in office locations throughout La Porte, Starke and St. Joseph counties. Specialties include cardiology, family care, internal medicine, neurosurgery, orthopaedics, pediatric and women’s healthcare. LRPN partners with La Porte Regional Health System, benefiting patients through usage of La Porte Hospital’s facility, technology and Clarian Health partnership.
